В апреле 2009 года было выпущено 502 000 т. труб, это на целых 30,1 % меньше чем было выпущено в 2008 году в этот же период, об этом сообщил Росстат Российской Федерации.

Производство стальных труб также уменьшилось и с января по апрель на 29,8 %, а выпуск бесшовных труб сократился на 30,5%, т.е упал до 175 000 т., а с января по апрель на 32%. Выпуск сварных труб в этот же период также упал на 25% , а в апреле уже до 31%. К сварочным трубам относятся и обсадные, их производство сокращено было на 18,4% в апреле.

А вот изготовление бурильных труб сократилось на 53,4% в апреле, т.е производится, стало всего до 2,1 тысяч. т. Зато производство насосно – компрессорных труб увеличилось в апреле сразу на 15,1 %, а за период с января по апрель на 3,6%.
